Chandor, or Chandrapur, was the first known capital of Goa and was initially ruled by kingdoms such as the Bhoja, Kadamba, and Chalukya. This fortified city has also been devastated by invaders such as Malik Kafur's army and later by Portuguese missionaries.
Chandor's stories of anguish and scars are still told through archaeological artefacts and Musal Khel's legacy.
