Rusted Out Signal Lamp Restoration

Welcome to today's video, where you saw the renovation of an old railway signal lamp with a winged wheel symbol.

The winged wheel is a symbol of railway transport, but also a symbol of progress, industrialization and industrial prowess.

The symbol of the winged wheel first appeared in 1835 on a silver tolar minted by King Ludwig I of Bavaria for the ceremonial opening of the 1st German Railway from Nuremberg to Fürst.

In 1846, the symbol was used on the uniforms of Bavarian railway officials.
And 3 years later, the winged wheel became a symbol of the railways.
