Cab ride Toulon - Marseille (France, Côte d'Azur) train driver's view in 4K

In this video you can enjoy the late afternoon cab ride - train driver's view from Toulon to Marseille that will lead us along the beautiful French riviera with wonderful colours of the late afternoon/early evening all the way to see the sunset in Marseille. The video is in 4K/60 frames per second.

I would like to apologise for the lack of the speedometer and other GPS data at the beginning of the video. The beforementioned data is available only from minute 13:34. Sometimes the GPS device is just not working properly. And as I travelled a long way to film this wonderful line, I can not afford to just discard the video. Thank you all for your understanding.

The line from Toulon to Marseille is a part of the Marseille–Ventimiglia railway (French: Ligne de Marseille-Saint-Charles à Vintimille) is a French-Monégasque-Italian 259-kilometre-long railway line. It opened in several stages between 1858 and 1872.

The line is an important transport corridor, connecting the French and Italian Rivieras, and it is used by passenger (express, regional and suburban) and freight traffic. It played a significant role in the economic development of the region, facilitating trade and tourism between France and Italy as the primary railway line serving the French Riviera (Côte d'Azur). The line was also of strategic importance during World War II, as it was used to transport troops and supplies to the Italian front.

A new high-speed line, the LGV Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, is planned for opening around 2035 to offer quicker travel times between Marseille, Toulon, Cannes and Nice.
