Merhaba. 2 yılın sonunda Lana Del Rey mevsimini bitirdik.
Bu mevsimi açma sebebim, özellikle 2 yıl önce ülkemizi derinden sarsan Büyük Deprem'in bizde yarattığı etkiden dolayı, duygusal moral olarak bu kanalda en çok sevdiğimiz sanatçı olan Lana Del Rey'in şarkılarını çevirmekti. Bu şekilde her şarkı çevirisiyle bu deprem olayının varlığını unutturmamaya çalıştım (çünkü ülkemizde sürekli olan olaylar nedeniyle herkes her şeyi unutuyor ve hissizleşiyor), ve kendim de dahil hepimize bir 'rahatlama alanı' sunmaya çalıştım.
Son şarkı için birçok şarkıyı değerlendirdim
fakat sonunda 'Son Şarkı'yı bitiş şarkısı olarak seçtim.

Şarkı hakkında:
Swan Song (Kuğu Şarkısı), Lana Del Rey’in dördüncü stüdyo albümü Honeymoon’un sonunda yer alıyor. Şarkının ismi ve albümdeki yeri, insanların Lana’nın emekli olacağına dair endişelenmesine neden olmuş çünkü kuğu şarkısı efsanesi, bir kuğunun yalnızca bir kez, çok güzel bir şekilde şarkı söyleyip sonra ölmesiyle ilgili.

Şarkı, yüzeyde bir çiftin hayatları boyunca çok çalıştıktan sonra emekli olmayı beklediğini anlatıyor. Ama daha derin bir anlamda, Del Rey’in depresif ve mantıklı ‘sen’ ile intihar eğilimli ve cezbedici ‘ben’ arasındaki içsel çatışmasını da anlatıyor.

Lana, W dergisine verdiği bir röportajda şarkının onu ağlattığını söyledi:
"Bu şarkı Honeymoon albümümde yer alıyor. Umut eksikliğiyle ilgili, yani vazgeçmenin içinde güzellik bulmakla ilgili. Eğer benim istediğim gibi olsaydı, hayatımın her alanında devam etmeyi seçerdim ama bu bazen çok zorlayıcı olabiliyor çünkü bazen çok hızlı güvenebiliyorum. Bu güvenin ardından gelen acı, düşüncelerimi ve günlük yaşamımı tamamen alt üst edebiliyor. Albümün sonunda her zaman veda ederim ve teşekkür ederim eski Hollywood tarzında ama buna rağmen yazmaya devam etmeden duramıyorum."
