Welcome back to my journey photographing the wild east coast of Scotland! In this second episode, I travel to the very tip of the mainland — the dramatic Duncansby Stacks, where Scotland ends.
Arriving at 5:30am, I had the place completely to myself. As the first light of sunrise broke through, the scene in front of me looked almost Jurassic, with towering sea stacks, crashing waves, and rugged cliffs. It was the perfect setting for some of the most dramatic landscape photography I’ve ever captured.
