In this 2011 paper, Brian Ribeiro argues that it is rational to desire to be in Heaven. If we are in Heaven as ourselves, it will be hellish. But if we are changed into being who can enjoy eternal life, we will no longer be ourselves. In both cases, being in Heaven is not a desirable future for *us*.
