ਇਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਭਗਤ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਅਹਿਸਾਸ ਕਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਇਕ ਵੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਰੂਪਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਥੇ ਵੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਓਥੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਰੰਗ-ਬਿਰੰਗੀ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਜਗਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਲੀਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਧਾਗਾ ਮਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਣਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਹਰ ਕਣ, ਹਰ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

ਇਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਭਰਮ ਤੋਂ ਉਪਰ ਉਠ ਕੇ, ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸੱਚ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

माया की मोहक छवि मन को भ्रमित करती है, परंतु गुरबाणी हमें यह बोध कराती है कि यह संपूर्ण संसार परम ब्रह्म की लीला है।

जैसे एक धागा अनेक मनकों को जोड़ता है, वैसे ही वाहिगुरु हर कण, हर हृदय और हर आत्मा में समाया हुआ है।

यह शबद हमें भ्रम से जागृत होकर, गुरु के उपदेशों के अनुसार सत्य को पहचानने और नाम सिमरन की ओर प्रेरित करता है।
