📌Le Château de Logempré, emblème de la première baronnie normande, porte en ses murs un millénaire d’histoire. C’est sous Guillaume le Conquérant que le premier Château de Pont-Saint-Pierre voit le jour, en tant que forteresse stratégique.

The castle of Logempré/El castillo de Logempré

Inhabited until 2001
the castle of Logempré and its outbuildings
suffered from a major maintenance defect
and have undergone significant degradation for more than two decades.The set of buildings requires urgent intervention
to avoid ruin.
The castle of Logempré
emblem of the first Norman barony
carries within its walls a millennium of history.
It is under William the Conqueror
that the first castle of Pont-Saint-Pierre is born
as a strategic fortress.
During the Hundred Years' War
the castle is destroyed to slow down the English advance
then rebuilt thanks to a loan of 20,000 gold-pounds
granted by the King of France Charles V.
In 1418, King Henry V of England seized it
during his conquest of Normandy
before it was set on fire during the French reconquest.
The castle then becomes the residence of the lords of Roncherolles
for nearly three centuries.
King Henry IV stayed there in the company of Gabrielle d'Estrées.
After the Roncherolles
the castle becomes the property of Anne-Pierre Montesquiou-Fézensac
from the d'Artagnan family, French academician
and general of the armies of the revolution.
Then it is acquired by Louis Caillot de Coqueréaumont
President of the Court of Auditors of Normandy.
Other owners, both from the nobility (of Houdemare de Vandrimare)
that from industry (Descamps-Beghin), succeed one another
of which two will become mayors of the municipality.

luego reconstruido con un crédito de 20.000 libras
concedido por el rey de Francia Carlos V.
En 1418, el rey Enrique V de Inglaterra se hace cargo
durante su conquista de Normandía
antes de que fuera incendiado durante la reconquista francesa.
El castillo se convierte entonces en la residencia de los señores de Roncherolles
durante casi tres siglos.
El rey Enrique IV se queda allí en compañía de Gabrielle d'Estrées.
Después de los Roncherolles
el castillo pasa a ser propiedad de Anne-Pierre Montesquiou-Fézensac
