Learn more about the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA). HSCPOA was created by the Government of Ontario to support public protection. We do this by registering Personal Support Workers (PSWs), and holding registered PSWs accountable for delivery of safe, quality, ethical care provided to Ontarians in their homes, hospitals, long-term care facilities, or other environments where care is provided. HSCPOA will begin registering PSWs on December 1, 2024, once the regulations come into force. Registration will be voluntary.
