Everyone’s fixated on big movers, and traders are chasing stocks up. Chasing is often referred to as a bad process or approach, but right now it’s a chaser’s market. So it’s a great time to learn the dip and rip pattern — it’s great for big movers!

What should you look for? There’s a lot of criteria, so pay attention!

You want to keep an eye on simple gainers. You’ll see 100%, 200%, 1,000% moves. If you’re a new trader, don't chase premarket. Your target should be after the market open when stocks are more liquid. But you can still track the setup.

Does the mover have news? Depending on the company, this can be a big deal. Watch the video to learn what to look for.

Now you’ve got your news and your price action...

Here’s what's great about this pattern ... When the stock pulls into the open, it’s also collecting short sellers. And the short sellers will short that weak open. Then when you get that break off that high of day, now all the shorts are upside down.

How do you know that? It's the high of the day.

It's impossible for a short to be green with a new high a day. They see their losses piling, and they start panic buying. That brings in more volume. Now you've got the breakout buyers buying, you got the people trading the dip and rip buying, and you got shorts panicking.

All that volume can make the stock spike … and you can see it within a matter of minutes. But hang on! Sit back and wait for confirmation. The goal is to grow your account. Don’t let FOMO make a gambler out of you.
