Provisional i-cord cast-on with stitch cable

Hold a stitch cord parallel to your working needle, with the needle on top and the ends pointing to the right. Make a slipknot and place it on your cord. Wrap the yarn around both the needle and the cord the same number of times as the number of stitches you want to cast on. The slipknot does not count as a stitch.

Knit 5 rounds of i-cord:
Take the yarn from behind the sts and knit the 3 sts on the needle. Slide the sts back to the LH needle and knit them again without turning the work*. Repeat *– 3 more times.

Do not turn work, but rotate it 90 degrees to the right. Pick up 3 sts from the upper side of the i-cord. Place the 3 sts from the provisional CO back on the needle and knit these.

Lägg en maskkabel parallellt med stickan, med stickan högst upp och spetsen åt höger. Gör en löpknut och sätt den på maskkabeln. Vira garnet rut både maskkabeln och stickan så många gånger som antalet maskor du vill lägga upp. Löpknuten räknas inte som en maska.

Sticka 5 varv i-cord:
Ta garnet från arbetets baksida och sticka 3 rm.
Flytta maskorna tillbaka till vänster sticka och sticka dem igen utan att vända arbetet*. Upprepa *– 3 ggr till.

Vänd inte arbetet men vrid det 90 grader åt höger. Plocka upp 3 m från i-cordens övre kant. Sätt tillbaka de 3 m från den provisoriska uppläggningen på stickan och sticka dessa. 9 m på stickan.
