When you don’t create an environment for him to open up to you, he will be staying with you because there are benefits of staying with you but communication will be a difficult challenge.

Do keep in mind that not all men are conditioned to open up. Therefore, it’s not the most comfortable thing for a lot of guys out there and in addition, when the connection is not there it will be harder for him to open up.
