Toledo's River Gallery: Discovering New Murals Along the Maumee (Drone at Sunset!)

My last trip to Toledo to document the Glass City River Wall – America's largest mural – was so inspiring that it led me right back to the Glass City! After learning about the ambitious River Wall Gallery project by Dean Davis, I knew I had to return and capture some of these incredible new murals.

This video showcases my recent drone flight over Toledo's evolving riverfront. While I arrived just as the sun was setting, casting beautiful, dramatic light on the city, it also meant the full detail of some of these fantastic new artworks by Dean Davis and potentially other artists involved in the River Gallery Project were a bit hidden in the shadows.

You'll get a glimpse of the expanding public art landscape along the Maumee River, a testament to Toledo's vibrant commitment to art and community. Dean Davis, known for his work as the lead painter on the Glass City River Wall, is spearheading this vision to create the "largest public art installment in the world along a riverfront," featuring murals on structures like cement silos and even bridge piers.
