WH: Kilmar Abrego Garcia will never return to a 'peaceful life in Maryland', citing ties to MS-13

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland resident deported to El Salvador. She stated that Abrego Garcia was a member of the MS-13 gang and would not be returning to the U.S., asserting that he was involved in human trafficking. This comes after El Salvador President Nayib Bukele claimed that he has no ability to send Garcia back to the US despite a Supreme Court ruling directing the Trump administration to take “steps to facilitate” his return.
