TR-808 and 909: Is it time to move on?

The release of the Roland TR-1000 got me thinking about the enduring influence of the 808 and 909: Why do we still use them? Some say the 808 & 909 are 'played out', yet what NEW drum machines have been as successful? Why is that? I'll discuss the Rhythm Wolf, Drumbrutes, TR-8 and other drum machines. And about how I'm reminding myself to keep my mind open to find the next 808 & 909 (as well as some examples I think could be!). 👉   / mylarmelodies   🙌
