Does the hood on your old car shake and oil can around? You can fix this yourself at home, and not need an autobody expert. We are going to use some SEM Expanding Anti-Flutter Foam to fix the issue. Learn from my experience and it will be quicker and easier for you than it was for me.
This is a common issue on old classic cars. The hood sheet metal skin has separated or disbonded from the frame webbing underneath. Its not that hard to fix and there are multiple options to do the repair. In this video Im going to fix the hood on my 1962 Catalina and stop it from oil canning by re-bonding the sheet metal to its frame.
I do the absolute bare minimum and it still ends up working, so you can do this job yourself pretty easily.
Note this job would be easier if you remove the hood, because you wont be fighting gravity.
Product I used. SEM Flexible Anti Flutter Urethane Foam 39357

3M Dampening Material

You can also use any number of urethane adhesives like 3M windshield urethane and a simple hardware store caulk gun. Note that some have reported this product can shrink.
