Formally Introducing ‘I’ Chalk - my current chalk obsession 💕💕

Thanks for a great live on Saturday. I’m glad we collectively decided to formally name this chalk as our ‘I’ chalk. I’m more and more convinced that it’s totally different from any chalk we have seen thus far in the alphabet chalks. Even though it has a clear off white colour, it crushes far differently from the off white floury F chalk types. It appears lighter, it gives a subtle crunch which follows through after the first squeeze and though it’s a powder packed dense chalk it is easy to crush. Hmmm, I hope it stays consistent because I’m honestly in love.

I’ve cheekily asked for a few modifications to the chalk so lets hope the next batch is even better.

Mass on Sunday was so refreshing. It was a gentle reminder to be good stewards of what God has put us in charge of otherwise what we have will be taken from us. Fair enough. If you’re good at something, use it for human kind’s general betterment. If you have a talent, improve it and share it. A clear affirmation of the principle with great power comes great responsibility. So if we want more, we better be the best at what we have already before seeking for more. It also is a reminder I think to treat the earth well. It’s all our homes so let’s be mindful of that. Listen i know chalk crushing isnt the best for the environmnt but taking into consideration its Benefits as well as the fact that we all try to do our best to reuse and recycle the powder and try to dispose of the powder properly, on balance, I believe there is more good than harm. Thoughts?


As the new school year has started, so has Catechism classes so I’m back to being Teacher Angela but again the cool (but still very serious) kind of teacher. 😅

Yesterday I taught my kids about communicating to God through prayer, emphasizing that there are several ways to pray including vocally, by means of meditation, lecto divinia which is basically reading a few lines from the Bible and concentrating on those words and praying through and with those words, Visio divinia which is the same concept as the former but this time the focus is on a visual image that reminds us of God so could be a crucifix or a picture, etc. And finally, Taizé chants which are usually short passages from the Bible and are sung over and over again. It’s a Frech tradition and my perosnal fav is ‘Jesus remember me’.

I also taught them about the types of prayers namely Adoration - a prayer just adoring God for being His Awesome self, Petition - asking for ourselves, Intercessions - asking for others, Thanksgiving - just saying thanks and then Praise - giving God His due praise.

I topped it all off with reading in the Bible about the time Jesus taught us to pray with the Lord’s Prayer.

All in all, a very good session. Next week my Catechism teaching partner will take the lead and I’ll just sit back and watch! Yay!
