Our final game in this run of 5 consecutive away games, took Droylsden to Bacup, In a forgettable afternoon for the Bloods.

The pitch at the Brian Boys stadium was a great leveller for the home side, as Droylsden struggled to play to their strengths of passing the ball on the ground, due to the pitch getting cut up badly as early as the warm-up.

Despite the issues with the pitch, It was a fairly even first half of very few chances, as the teams went into the break at 0-0.

Early into the Second half, Tawab Djankpata picked up an undeserved Yellow card, despite being the one who was fouled. A decision made all the worse a few moments later, when he received a second yellow card after reacting to being kicked at (for the umpteenth time in the game).

In-between Tawab's two yellow cards, the home side took the lead, following a corner from the Bacup left-hand side. The corner was headed back across goal by Joseph Fallon, and even though Rodrigo Schmitdinger seemed to clear the ball off the line, the Assistant Referee awarded the goal.

In the 80th minute, the home team doubled their lead as a long kick from Bacup 'Keeper William Blake, failed to be cleared, leaving Bacup Sub Malachi Clarke through on goal to slot the ball past Jordan Latham for 2-0.

Deep into injury time, the home side were also reduced to 10 men, following an ugly challenge on Geroge Kattah by the scorer of Bacup's first goal, Joseph Fallon.

Next up for the Bloods is a long awaited home game, as Darwen make the trip to the Butchers Arms.
