Halton police are looking for three suspects after a smash-and-grab robbery at a jewelry store in Burlington Centre shopping mall on Monday.
The incident happened around 6 p.m. at Arain Jewellers located in the mall on Guelph Line.
The suspects -- all wearing dark clothing -- broke glass display cases and stole an unknown amount of jewelry before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported.
Authorities blocked off the area with police tape while they investigated. CHCH freelance footage showed shattered glass and a sledgehammer in front of the display cases.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Halton Police.
There have been numerous brazen jewelry store robberies in Southern Ontario over the past few months, including one at Mapleview Shopping Centre in Burlington on Jan. 4.
Niagara police continue to look for five suspects responsible for a daytime robbery at the Pen Centre in St. Catharines on Jan. 16. The incident was caught on video by mall patrons in a nearby food court.
Additionally, Hamilton police are looking for help in identifying suspects in a series of 'distraction thefts' that involve jewelry.
