It’s National Simultaneous Storytime 2025, and Ozzie is joining in on the fun by reading this year’s featured book — The Truck Cat by Deborah Frenkel!

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Each year, an Australian picture book is read simultaneously in schools, libraries, childcare centres, homes, bookshops — and now right here with Ozzie too!

Now in its 25th year, NSS is a vibrant, fun event that celebrates the joy of reading while promoting literacy and learning. It features age-appropriate themes and links to key learning areas of the Australian Curriculum (Foundation to Year 6).
