In this video, I remove the IAT (Inlet Air Temperature) sensor and clean off the dirt and oil using some WD-40 Contact Cleaner. The vehicle is a 2005 Volkswagen Passat, B5.5, with the 2.0 ALT petrol engine. This sensor is easy to reach as it's located right at the front of the engine and is held on by one T30 Torx screw. Once cleaned and dried thoroughly, put it back on and plug it in. There were remnants of a brownish colored resin coating still on the wire in some places so I just left that as is, the main thing was to just clean it.
