Welcome to our performance of the Wangala Dance, a vibrant traditional dance of the Garo tribe from Northeast India. This dance celebrates the harvest season and gives thanks to Misi Saljong, the Sun-God of fertility and prosperity.

Through this performance, our group aims to showcase the rich culture, rhythm, and traditions of the Garo community — with energetic drum beats, graceful movements, and colorful attire that bring the spirit of the festival alive.

✨ About Wangala Dance:

Origin: Garo Tribe (Meghalaya, India)
Meaning: Thanksgiving after harvest
Instruments: Dama (drum), Adil (flute), gongs, and bamboo instruments
Symbolism: Joy, gratitude, and unity of the community
