Industrial Temperature Control System Using PID Controller | MATLAB & Simulink Project
In this video, we present our group project for Control Systems (BEJ20503), Semester 1, 2025/2026 at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM)
Our team, Group 2 (Section 3), explores the modeling and optimization of an industrial temperature plant using various PID tuning techniques
Temperature regulation is a critical component in industrial processes, but it often faces challenges like thermal inertia and slow dynamic responses.
We demonstrate how to overcome these hurdles using feedback control and precise controller tuning.
Our Key Results:
Open-Loop Analysis: Identification of plant parameters ( K=10, L=1.1s, T =15s ) through S-Curve observation.
Ziegler-Nichols PID: Achieved a rapid rise time but also produced an aggressive overshoot.
Auto-tuned PID: Provided the most stable response for industrial use with a smooth rise time and safe overshoot.
