This week, John Crowder shares several thoughts on interacting with atheism. While there is a place for apologetics - defending the faith - very often Christians lean upon argument and debate in an attempt to force something that comes by revelation alone. And defensiveness is not the flavor of faith.

So if revelation is personally needed, does this mean we abandon the preaching of the Gospel? By no means - faith comes by hearing! But sharing the Gospel involves love and encountering the very Presence of God, together with an articulation of the Message. We neither lean on reason alone, nor do we abandon reason as we work to dispel faulty notions many atheists have about the nature of God.
