Please read "Note" below for my TBS Crossfire opinion based on my many flight experiences.
On this condensed FPV flight - I flew The TBS Crossfire equipped Ranger EX with stock antennas on both Tx & Rx. (The optional "Tuned" antennas performed poorly) I flew up and across covering a total of 25.7 miles on a 43:00 minute flight, the furthest point being 8.56 miles / 14km out over Great Kills Harbor. I couldn't push further due to lipo mah concerns. I will soon parallel 20,000mah in 2x 10,000 4s on another FPV mission.
NOTE: In regards to the optional "Tuned" antennas, I would not recommend them at this point. I am experiencing better performance with the stock antenna over the "tuned" antenna set I purchased separately $60US. With the "tuned" antennas I, as well as others, have experienced far to many signal losses and having RTL kick in several times on the exact same flight paths at the same time of day and with the same atmospheric conditions in far shorter distances. It's of great concern for TBS products which I just returned. I hope TBS can look more into this issue along with the MAJOR issue of this UHF system badly interfering with the 1.2, 1.3 vTx system even with there TBS 915mHz (USA) notch filter. After 8 months of flight testing with firmware updates, and antenna upgrades I am a bit disappointed with the TBS Crossfire UHF system and at this time would not recommend it to the long range fixed wing FPV flyer whom is using the 1.2/3GHz vTx system.
