3.5/4.0 Tennis: Brief Serving Practice (November 2024)

Happy New Year! Very basic video this time. I'm aware that the wide target from the deuce was noticeably missing this day, and on a more dedicated serving day, I'd have targets placed in the service boxes.

I started playing tennis in April 2018, and have trained/played as often as my low funds will allow. I study and analyze tennis very often, but haven't had many good opportunities for regimented training. As a result, I've plateaued at the 3.0-low 3.5 level, with incredibly inconsistent groundstrokes, zero net ability, and pathological double faults. At the time of this video, my groundstrokes still often feel like coin flips. I also cannot hit a backhand slice to save my life. My strokes, serve consistency, and overall confidence are on massive up-and-down swings. But gosh darn it, I love it.
