In this lesson we explore the story "Red Sled" by Patricia Thomas, engage in a discussion about winter fun and teamwork, create a sledding-themed art project, and extend learning through imaginative play and movement.

Supplies: Red construction paper, another piece of paper to glue down on, glue, scissors, crayons. Optional: stickers and cotton balls

Lesson extension: Encourage children to think of other winter activities and create their own story about it OR discuss how the animals in the story shared the sled and how it feels to share with friends.
