My Spotted Congo Pufferfish (Tetraodon schoutedeni) surprised me with a complete personality transformation.This is the story of a puffer fish newbie keeping freshwater puffers in a community tank, focusing on the behavior of the Spotted Congo Puffer and how adding more puffers flipped the dynamics of my tank. I kept a single Schoutedeni puffer for over a year before adding two smaller schoutedeni puffers to the tank, with the hope that individual personalities would mean more water puppies!

Puffer fish tank setup includes a ton of cryptocoryne plants, Kuhli Loaches, Raccoon Tetras, Siamese Algae Eaters, and some otocinclus.
