SBP: Central Limit Theorem for NESS - Milton Jara

Resumo: Non-Equilibrium Stationary States (NESS) are ubiquitous in nature, but it is not so evident how to describe them in a mathematically rigorous way. Macroscopic Fluctuation Theory provides a way to describe NESS for driven diffusive systems, at the level of large deviations. Our aim is to show that the predictions from MFT are also correct at the level of fluctuations, providing a central limit theorem, compatible with the large deviations given by MFT, at least when the NESS is not 'so far' from equilibrium.
