DE Error Code in Samsung Top Load Washing Machine

Sometimes Samsung top load washing machine shows DE error code. This is not a big issue. Samsung top load washing machine comes with safety features like a door lock system, which is useful for child safety. But due to some reasons this function not working and shows a DE error code.

So in this article, I’m explaining to you how to solve this problem. Follow the below steps and you will get your washing machine working back!

Step #1

Open the back cover. Check any carbon on the connector of the door switch, if there are any carbon particles then clean them. to clean the carbon particles properly use a toothbrush and IP liquid.

Now please check the washing machine by restarting it. Maybe your problem is being solved.

If still showing DE Error Code then follow the next step.

Step #2

Check the door hinges and observe carefully for any damage to hinges. Change the door if the hinges are broken. Also, check the switch hinges and observe carefully for any damage to the hinges. Change the switch if the hinges Broken

Now after changing the particular part, please check the washing machine by restarting it. Maybe your problem is solved.

If still showing DE Error Code then follow the next step.

Step #3

Check the door switch continuity by using a multimeter, must show continuity if the door is closed. change the door switch if continuity not showing.

After changing the Door Switch, please check the washing machine by restarting it. Maybe your problem is solved.

If still showing DE Error Code then follow the next step.

Step #4

Open the front panel. Check the wiring continuity between the door switch connector and the PCB connector. If continuity not showing, then change the wiring with the connector or you can also change the entire wire harness.

After changing the wiring or entire wire harness, please check the washing machine by restarting it. Maybe your problem is solved.

If still showing DE Error Code then follow the next step.

Step #5

If the above four testings are found ok, then need to repair or replace PCB with the new one. Now your problem is solved definitely!

Please note that sometimes your washing machine problem will be solved in any of the one-step or some time it will need two or more steps also.
