The Start of an epic trip to la gomeroa in the Canary Islands. The day before I rang a good friend Jason to see what he was up to. He was ecstatic about his new bream adventure! Hrs later I was on a plane landing in the land of giants!
we were deep dropping for Massive Amberjacks and Dentex bream, there's quite a few different names for these fish including Pargo, Snapper, Samma , Dentex , Red snapper! we had quite an incredible catch rate with these and we did not go hungry, Dentex is probably the best fish I have ever eaten sashimi style or cooked.
flights and accommodation are relatively cheap and readily available, using tui cheap flights and booking.com. as you can expect the food was amazing and the beer ice cold. The fishing out here is red hot with a massive big game scene targeting BFT Marlin ,Wahoo, Dorado and many others. We decided to explore and find marks to bottom fish aiming for monster Bream and Amber jack in over 100m of water.
