Everyone says IFS is weak…
For context, stock steering tie rods break with 33" (285) tires, stock knuckles bend with 34s (305), and stock steering racks fail with 35s (315). These all occur to trailer-less un-loaded rigs.
So we pulled a 1,500 lb trailer through a local rock crawling trail — loaded with a full disassembled wooden pit toilet — to put our RCLT HD IFS with integrated HD MarRack Steering System through another impossible test.
40" tires. Zero control arm, knuckle, or steering failures.
Oh — and BigMike accidentally rolled the trailer. 😅
