So after the kafuffle of the last video it would be nice to show you something that worked, and for my makers ego, something I figured out myself. And that thing is understanding how the various modes and function are assigned to the variable frequency drive that I am using – in relation to particular functions I would want on a CNC machine. One is using a estop to brake the spindle, using a relay to activate the cooling pump when the VFD spindle is running and toggling between the potentiometer and PWM for spindle speed. This video focuses on the toggle switch.
