🔊 Adrien Fourmaux & Alexandre Coria - Hyundai i20N Rally1 Huge Anti-Lag Sound, Test Monte-Carlo 2026

Adrien Fourmaux and co-driver Alexandre Coria have successfully completed their pre-event testing for the 2026 Rallye Monte-Carlo in the French Alps, driving the Hyundai i20 N Rally1. The testing took place approximately two weeks before the opening round of the World Rally Championship (WRC), as is customary in the build-up to the event. The car, as per the regulations for the 2025 and 2026 seasons, does not feature a hybrid system and relies exclusively on the 1.6-litre turbo engine, capable of developing approximately 380 hp. The lack of the hybrid system makes the Rally1 cars lighter; the minimum weight has dropped from 1260 kg (2024) to approximately 1180 kg today. The flange on the engine intake, as per regulations, has been reduced from 36 to 35 mm to maintain the power-to-weight ratio unchanged between the 2024 and 2025/2026 seasons. The test was seen as an important preparation session for the pair, who begin their second season with Hyundai Motorsport after an impressive 2025 debut campaign that included four podium finishes. Adrien Fourmaux e il copilota Alexandre Coria hanno completato con successo i loro test pre-evento per il Rallye Monte-Carlo 2026 nelle Alpi francesi, alla guida della Hyundai i20 N Rally1. I test si sono svolti circa due settimane prima della gara di apertura del Campionato del Mondo Rally (WRC), come di consueto per la preparazione all'evento. La vettura utilizzata, come da regolamento per le stagioni 2025 e 2026, è priva del sistema ibrido e si basa esclusivamente sul motore turbo da 1,6 litri capace di sviluppare circa 380 hp. La mancanza del sistema ibrido rende le Rally1 più leggere; il peso minimo diminuisce dai 1260 kg (2024) ai circa 1180 kg attuali. La flangia sull'aspirazione del motore, come da regolamento, viene ridotta da 36 a 35 millimetri in modo da mantenere invariato il rapporto peso-potenza tra le stagioni 2024 e 2025/2026. I test sono stati considerati un'importante sessione di preparazione per la coppia, che inizia la sua seconda stagione con Hyundai Motorsport dopo un'impressionante annata d'esordio nel 2025, che ha incluso quattro podi.
