BEWARE of the tides | Beachfront camping on the Ningaloo | 14 Mile Beach Camp on Warroora Station

We finally hit the Ningaloo Coast, spending our first few nights at the Warroora Station Homestead before setting up camp at the stunning 14 Mile Campground. The crystal-clear waters and vibrant coral reefs of Ningaloo Marine Park were just a short walk away, providing endless opportunities for snorkelling and exploring the underwater world. The 14 Mile Beach camping area on the Warroora Coast, on the doorstep of Ningaloo Marine Park, is one of the best camping areas close to Coral Bay in Western Australia.

We camped on site 27, which is probably one of the campsites you have seen all over Instagram, as it is situated right on the beachfront. Sites 14–28 are more exposed to high tides and strong winds, with little to no privacy as you are all camped side by side. Then, we relocated to site 10, which was a little further back from the beach and emersed into the dunes. We loved this site as it was a lot more secluded, with access to your own private beach and protection from the tides and wind. Overall, both sites offered unique experiences and stunning views of the ocean. It was a great opportunity to enjoy the beauty of nature and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

If you find yourself on a windy day, Maggies Beach and Pelican Bay are good places to set up because they are protected from the weather. The most exquisite rock pools are visible at low tide at Elles Beach and Stevens.
