'China ready to work with EU': Beijing signals possible Europe alliance amid Trump tariff tantrums

In a strong statement, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian criticised the US for using tariffs as a 'weapon of protectionism and unilateralism,' calling it harmful to global economic interests. Lin emphasised that China and the EU, the world’s second and third largest economies, are united in supporting fair trade, globalisation, and the multilateral trading system with the WTO at its core.
