Onboard an EasyJet Airbus A320NEO from Gran Canaria, Las Palmas back up to London Southend airport on 5th May 2025. A very busy flight, lots of holidaymakers so apologies for any background noise / conversations in advance.
The flight was slightly late on its way in from Luton due to a small ATC restriction of around about 15 minutes which resulted in a late departure from LPA. Once onboard we pushed back and taxied for departure from Las Palmas' RWY03R. Climbing along the coast, with beautiful views of the Island as well as Mount Teide, Tenerife in the distance. Cruising at 38,000ft we continue North East over the Atlantic before making landfall on the Portuguese Coast. Hidden under cloud we cross into Spain. A few good air to air shots of other aircraft, particularly an TUI B737 seen heading towards Faro. Over the bay of Biscay, crossing France, passing Jersey and starting our descent over the English Channel. Good view of the south coast and the Isle Of Wight. Not much in the way of views over London itself because of the cloud cover. But once on the approach into Southend's RWY05 some cloudy and windy scenery for our arrival, having made up much of the lost time with a flight time of just 3 hours & 49 mins.
