Hong Kong at Night: A Symphony of Lights | 香港夜景：幻彩詠香江

Hongkong's street, market and skyline views are amazing, especially at night. Victoria Harbour is the most iconic landmark in Hongkong, where one can enjoy the picture-postcard panorama, a striking mix of towering structures and shimmering lights. On the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront along the "Avenue of Stars" to Hong Kong Cultural Centre one can see the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hong Kong Observation Wheel and key skyscrapers in Hongkong Island such as International Finance Center (IFC), The Centre, Bank of China Tower, Jardine House, Hopewell Centre and Central Plaza. On the waterfront promenade outside the Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai one has breathtaking views of the Kowloon Peninsula, including the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and the International Commerce Centre (ICC), currently Hongkong's tallest building.

Victoria Peak provides 360-degree views of the city's impenetrable skyline across the Victoria Harbour. Another way to enjoy the skyline of Hongkong and to catch dual-harbour views of the Victoria Harbour is to board the historic Star Ferry, a service started in 1888 by a Parsee merchant, or board the Aqualuna, a Chinese junk with red sails constructed by an 80-year-old craftsman in the traditional way.

Every night at 8 pm, a light and sound show "A Symphony of Lights" takes place on Hong Kong's iconic skyline across the Victoria Harbour. The multi-media show lasts about 10 minutes and includes music, lights and lasers. A Symphony of Lights is a project launched by the Hong Kong Tourism Commission on January 1, 2004 to promote Hong Kong. It is the world's largest permanent multi-media show, according to Guinness World Records.
