In this crazy adventure, I traveled to Zouerat, Mauritania, to try and get on the world’s most dangerous train—the infamous iron ore train that spans over 700 kilometers through the desert. Known for its massive size and high-risk journey, this train is one of the last of its kind, transporting iron ore from the mines of Zouerat to the port of Nouadhibou.

However, things didn’t go as planned! While attempting to get close to the train, I was spotted by local police. They quickly detained me, took me to the station, and confiscated my passport. It was a tense moment, but also an eye-opening experience that revealed just how serious the authorities are about protecting the train and the safety of those around it.
