To enter Matsue Castle, you need a paid ticket. It costs 800 yen per adult. It is open until 18:00. Since it is a battle castle, the ceiling is low and the stairs are steep, so it may be better for elderly people and children to avoid it. However, the view from the top floor is amazing.
