Criollo tells the story of a forgotten cattle breed that is in fact, uniquely qualified, to graze in the now drought driven Southwestern United States. By focusing on the Arizona rancher, Dennis Moroney, who introduced the breed of Criollo cattle in Arizona since 2009; the film explores the characteristics of the Criollo cattle, and reveals how this particular cattle breed could be one small part of a solution to global climate change.
