Dr. Rajesh Gopakumar starts with comparing the journey of physics to a trek through the peaks of the Himalayas. He starts from the basic theory of gravitation and its implication in the quantum paradigm. He explores the concepts of macrocosmos and microcosmos. He concludes with a brief overview of the ongoing research and scenario of string theory in India. Dr. Rajesh Gopakumar is a theoretical physicist and Director of the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences. He is well-known for his research and contributions with regards to string theory.
