This track was written as part of a creative outburst after a week on the Playa at Burning Man. As ever, it's an inspirational place and each year I tend to enjoy a creative outpouring in the studio in the weeks following the Burn.

There's something special about 'Ten10' though ... it has a resonance, and unlike almost every other production I've done over the past 20 years, there's nothing that's niggled with this one, right from day one. My wife pulled me up the other day when she heard it in a DJ mix I'd done (   / sounds-of-stereophoenix-001   ) and in comparing it to Underworld, made me the happiest man on earth.

The title, Ten10 refers to my mother's birthday. Sadly she passed away 13 years ago, but this has always made me think of her, so hence the title and the dedication to her.

I'd like to thank the Free Hugs crew in Sondrio, Italy and in San Antonio for their rather beautiful videos, and I hope you guys don't mind me appropriating small chunks of your work for my own piece. The same thing goes for any of the other images that I re-contextualised in this video.
