0730 hrs: Outbound Johnsonville service with 2x FP/FT “Matangi” sets. Matangi sets were built by Hyundai-Rotem from 2010

0731 hrs: DSG 3277 shunts. DSG class were built by Toshiba Heavy Industries, Japan 1981-1983, powered by 2 Cummins KTA-1150L engines, with a power output of 700kW

0731hrs: Inbound 2 car Melling service crosses outbound 6 car Hutt Valley service, as DSG 3277 reverses back into the yard

0735 hrs: DSG 3277 shunts flat wagons, being moved to Aotea Quay wharf to be loaded with imported lengths of rail, as an inbound Hutt Valley service passes

0736 hrs: Inbound Johnsonville service with 2x FP/FT “Matangi” sets

0737 hrs: An outbound Melling and an inbound service from Plimmerton cross.

0741 hrs: DFB 7064 leads the first Wairarapa Connection service from Masterton, a journey of approx 1hr 45min. The passenger cars are rebuilt British Rail Mark II vehicles.

0743 hrs: 4 car inbound Kapiti line service crosses a 6 car outbound service

0745 hrs: 6 car inbound Hutt Valley service followed by an outbound 4 car Johnsonville service

0749 hrs: Inbound & outbound services pass

0751 hrs: Inbound 4 car Johnsonville service

0752 hrs: DSG 3277 returns to the yard light engine

0756hrs: Inbound 8 car Kapiti line & Hutt Valley service pass in quick succession

0800 hrs: Outbound 4 car Johnsonville service passes

0803 hrs: DFB 7158 leads the northbound “Northerner” service to Auckland. The DF classes were built by GMD of Canada, 1979-1981. DFB class is a rebuilt version.

0805 hrs: 4 car outbound service to Waikanae crosses an 8 car inbound service from Plimmerton, both on the Kapiti line.

0809 hrs: DFB 7064 leads the 2nd Wairarapa Connection service from Masterton.
