Two sides: Humans and the Butterfly (they were named by the humans after one of their own contracted the Butterfly) their real name is undetermined

Humans would steal the gems/ crystals and they would use that in order to cast magic
Butterflies will turn into stone when they get their gem taken away because it show cases their ability and is considered forbidden to be given away. A parent will be the one to give their children a small chunk of their gem when they grown old enough.
The stone is impenetrable, this means that they are stuck forever until they get there gem back from another person.
