Come and join me as I prepare for a Funeral Mass Service as a lector-commentator (and sometimes a mass singer in the absence of a choir).
The LecCom Ministry is one of my favorites and it taught me a lot of things: PATIENCE, PASSION FOR SERVICE, DEDICATION, DEVOTION, COMPASSION.
I know the feeling of losing someone and the presence of mass servers made me and my family feel grateful and comforted. Nowadays, many church people would only serve if the dead person is a rich and influential person in the community and only a few people would like to serve if the dead person is not a popular one. I hate that feeling and I don't want other people to feel that they are alone and powerless that's why whenever I am available and my service is needed, I do my best to serve. I hate it when bereaved people feel alone. I want them to feel that someone is with them through the tough times.
