The origins of Sorema date back to 1922. In that year Natale Previero left his job as commercial traveller and opened at Alzate Brianza, in the province of Como, a maintenance shop for the machinery of the textile and wood industry, at the time the productive heart of the area. Thus was born the Previero.
In 1974 Sorema was founded.
Previero specialized in the construction of grinding and cutting machinery. Sorema focused on the research and development of plants for the recycling of packaging and post-consumer materials.
In 1975 Sorema manufactured the first washing plant of mixed plastic packaging and bottles in the world.
The production plants of Sorema was transferred to the factory of Anzano del Parco, in the province of Como. The plants were updated with the installation of 3D CAD systems and CAM machinery.
The new millennium: Between 2004 and 2014 Sorema's turnover increased by 300%. Its machinery are used on all continents.
