Here's a short video of yesterday's training with Minor 🌞
After weeks and weeks of storm and rain, the weather finally let's me train the horses more regularly again. Over the winter months, Minor and I mainly focused on communication on the long line and he learned to read my body language better.
Minor can be a little firecracker, so I wanted to make sure that we have some good basics in place before we continue with more academic work. He has a very good focus, but can get a bit emotional and impatient when he doesn't understand something right away.
Getting more energy is no problem ;) which is why my focus is calmness and softness at the moment.
Being very brave, Minor has a tendency to go against pressure. He is learning to give on a light signal and to accept my guidance of shaping his body. He has a lot of push in his hind legs and especially to the left, bending is not yet easy for him. But he is doing better every day :)
This video shows the state of his education as it is right now. Far from perfect, but I'm happy with the direction.
