Nix - inFAMOUS Conduit Stories

Nix was a citizen of New Marais and who opposed the Militia due to Bertrand killing her family. She was described to be uncaring and cold, often preferring more destructive methods. She was represented the evil side of Cole MacGrath's Karma and was a Conduit who with oil/napalm based powers, able to manipulate the 2 elements to her will. She would also be considered the opposite of Lucy Kuo.

Nix, as a young girl from New Marais, lived in a miserable life with her mother. Joseph Bertrand III used the Ray Sphere to gather outcasts, including Nix's mother, for his use. Nix survived the Blast due to her Conduit gene and gained powers. She lurked in swamps, encountering Militia men and toying with their ties to Bertrand. Her encounters are recorded in Sebastian Wolfe's Dead drop.

Nix, an oppssing force of the Militia, encountered Cole MacGrath in New Marais and asked for his help in destroying Bertrand's propaganda and assets. Nix was satisfied with the outcome and gave him a Blast Core. Later, Nix met with Cole and Zeke to discuss Lucy Kuo's rescue, suggesting a streetcar rigged with explosives to cause a massive explosion. After Kuo's rescue, Nix invited Cole for a "show and tell" and showed him the crater left behind by the Blast that gave her and Bertrand their respective powers.

Nix joined Zeke and the team to retrieve the Transfer Device, despite Kuo's disapproval. After a brief argument, Nix proposed tricking Rosco Laroche and the rebels into dependence on Cole.- This is if you chose Nix plan to trick the rebels over Kuo's which was to give the rebels supplies but either path has gaining more trust, Nix join you and the attack, destroying heavy artillery and dealing with remaining Militia. Cole worked with Nix to defeat Militia and restore power. In the canon (which isn't show here but it does appear in Kuo t video), Nix will get very angry at you for choosing Kuo to swap powers even though Kuo should have just let Cole swap with Nix, this way Nix will get "violated by a machine".

After your karma choice, Nix just disappeared, only to be heard from again after restoring power to Flood Town.

Nix after suggested her piece on how to deal with Bertrand. Nix gets her "pets" whether or not Cole helps and defends her or if Cole gets photographic evidence of Bertrand's corruption.

Sometime passes and she along with Kuo, rebels and Cole put an end to Bertrand. And she spits on his corpse.

In the finale, Nix arrived right before Cole activates the RFI, saddened by the death of her pets. She listened to Cole's topic, and reprimanded him for not taking any action despite him knowing who 'The Beast' is. As he activated the RFI, Nix feels the pain of death passing through her, and stumbled to the ground. As the whole team ponder over the RFI's real purpose because it was meant to kill all conduits not just "the Beast". Nix fueled by anger (since John did kill her "pets") pitched in that she no longer cared what will happen to her, so long as the Beast meets his end which is the direct contrast of Kuo. Kuo even tried to convince herself (I think) that John's plan is the only way but in my opinion she just wanted to live even at the expense of most of humanity.

Despite a argument among the team, Cole had a decision to make.

In player controlled canon (hero ending), he decided to go through with the plan regarding the RFI, and asked Zeke if he could help fix RFI, right after Zeke nearly smashed the device with Cole's AMP. After a failed attempt to steal the device, Kuo leaves the roof and said "You're all going to regret this". After some more planning Zeke, Nix, and Cole MacGrath put the plan into action.
In the canon hero ending she dies from Firebirding into the beast as Cole hit the ionic storm AND while in the inFAMOUS alternate timeline she gets pinned between the amp and gets shocked to death after a fight with Cole. As a shock to nobody, no matter what ending you choose Nix dies, you either kill her with your amp or you accidentally killed her with iconic storm because 'the Beast' has to pay for killing Nix's "pets".


So, yeah Nix no matter what dies, but hey she lasted longer than Bertrand.
