My Mercy Is My Power - Michael Fries

Today I share my original track entitled "My Mercy is My Power". This is my second mix of this track and I think it is a big improvement. I write my own music under the pseudonym of "Love Champion". This track began with the question "If man has any power what is it? Jesus had power but what is mine?" My conclusion was, anything that gets me to heaven, is a power and a blessing. It is the mercy we give that grants us the mercy of the Father. We believe that we do not earn our entrance into heaven but rather it is a gift; a totally gratuitous gift from the Lord.

This track features the saxophone playing of my dear friend, Craig Davis. He came to my apartment in Astoria, Queens and we recorded this track. The funny thing was, my wife asked me to clean the apartment before he came and I didn't. Instead I prepped the track for hours prior to his arrival. So we recorded amidst a terrible mess.

Mercy is a gift but it has to be received. To me, the best way to receive grace and mercy is to say "Thank you". As is said in the Roman Catholic Mass, it is not only our duty is it "right and just" to give thanks. So here I am, thanking you, for listening to this track.
